Easy Weeknight Meatball Sub

A deliciously simple meatball sub perfect for busy weeknights, featuring flavorful turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 4 slices chicken ham

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs.
  4. Fry the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides.
  6. Place the meatballs in a baking dish, cover with marinara sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Top with chicken ham and crispy turkey bacon.
  8. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Serve in sub rolls.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can sprinkle Italian herbs on top before baking.
