This Raspberry Angel Food Cake is a light and fluffy dessert perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 12 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, sift together the cake flour and half of the sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy, then add salt and cream of tartar.
  4. Gradually add the sugar while beating until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold in the flour mixture and vanilla extract gently.
  6. Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool upside down before removing from the pan.
  9. Top with fresh raspberries before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use room temperature eggs.
  • Ensure not to grease the pan to allow the cake to rise properly.
