- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine chopped strawberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Mix well and set aside.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the strawberry mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and press the edges to seal.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
