Unstuffed Peppers

A delicious and easy family meal featuring unstuffed peppers with turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and slice the bell peppers in half, removing seeds and membranes.
  3. In a skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon until crispy, then add the ground turkey and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in rice, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Fill each pepper half with the turkey mixture and place in a baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute other meats if desired.
  • Add cheese on top for added flavor.
